On occasion a portrait escapes my easel. I'll be the first to admit that they are not easy, which makes me wonder why I insist on making it harder on myself. I cannot conform to the "traditional School of Portrait" methods. As a result I offer an alternative perspectives of individuals that may capture an intimate detail of ones life. I strive to channel the characters underlying emotions, their attitude, their way of existing. This usually takes place through conversation, story telling and questions.
